I've always loved hardwood flooring and come to that I like a good carpet too in the right space as I think the way we decorate our floors can say a lot about the room. The first stop when you decide to install this type of floor is your local home improvement center. Not all carry it yet, so you may have to move your search over to the online world. Many online retailers carry different varieties of bamboo flooring, as well as having different sources for the bamboo which they use for the flooring. Some companies only carry one to three colors of bamboo flooring, while others have a larger variety but may not have the color that you want.

You can also find flooring that interlocks with itself but does not need to be attached to the surface below it. This can be useful if you will want to take your bamboo flooring away to another house when you move, or if you have a nice hardwood floor below, but are just looking for a fresh new look.
